Be Your Own Chef at Home with Malagos Homegrown Produce’s DIY Meal Kits

Malagos Homegrown Produce Pizza Meal Kit

We’re now in the new normal phase with so many restrictions and you may think that you’re missing out on life’s simple pleasures, like going out to your favorite restaurant. But what if you can actually do something about it?

We all love the distinct taste of home-cooked meals but sometimes, we don’t have the luxury of time or the confidence in our abilities that we’re starting to lose interest even in our own recipes. Most of the time, we find ourselves just ordering online to satisfy our cravings. Since at this time, taking the usual trip to our favorite restaurants just is out of the question.

The food, tourism, and hospitality industry are the most affected as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. But it’s not all doom and gloom. In response to the quarantine and new normal, some restaurants and resorts have jumped into the trend of meal kits. Locally, Davao meal kits help you whip your well-loved dishes in your own kitchen – getting that restaurant-style dining at the safety of your home.

Not only will they keep your cravings satisfied, but will also provide support to struggling businesses. Among the latest to offer such DIY kits is the Malagos Homegrown Produce. Guests who used to enjoy the farm-to-table selections at Malagos Garden Resort can now whip up their own Malagos pasta and pizza at home with the Malagos Homegrown Produce food kit.

Unlike with takeaway and delivery where the dishes are ready to eat, customers are expected to finish the cooking themselves at home with these kits. It’s a home-made meal kit that makes you feel like you’re still serving and eating culinary-style gourmet – straight from your humble kitchen.

This way, you get to enjoy freshly whipped-up restaurant fare - and take pride in playing a part in its completion.

Malagos Homegrown Produce provides the ingredients - already measured out - and takes care of difficult things like the pizza dough, pasta sauces, and herbs. Here are some of our new DIY meal kits that will level up any dining experience at home.

Pasta kits are easy to put together and customers can also customize the flavors by adding their own ingredients to the sauce. Malagos Homegrown Produce’s pasta kit comes in two variants – Pasta Al Pomodoro and Pasta Puttanesca.

The kit comes with already-measured ingredients that will serve up 2-3 people. It contains the pasta sauce (in Pomodoro or Puttanesca style/flavor), pasta noodles, ciabatta bread, and parmesan cheese.

If you find yourself wanting to buy one or you’ve already bought one. Here are our cooking instructions to give you an idea on how to prepare it. Of course, the sky’s the limit on your creativity – you can customize the flavors and ingredients as you go:

  1. Cook Pasta in boiling water for 5 mins. or until al dente
  2. Heat sauce in pan and mix with pasta
  3. Top with Parmesan Cheese
  4. Toast Ciabatta Bread as desired

The Malagos Garden Resort may have temporarily closed down and shut its restaurants for a while, but it hasn’t stopped us from making good food. Instead, the restaurant came up with two DIY Pizza kit flavors; Four-Cheese and Meat-Lovers that will help you whip up a gourmet pizza at home.

Like the pasta kit, this kit also comes with already-measured ingredients like a flat thin crust 9” pizza dough, Malagos Cheese mix, fresh herbs (and some microgreens), pomodoro or tomato-based sauce, salami, and pepperoni.

Here’s how you can cook your Malagos pizza at home:

  1. Remove pizza contents from packaging
  2. Preheat oven to 230 °C (450 °F)
  3. Place Pizza on middle rack
  4. Cook for 8-12 minutes or until pizza is golden brown

Now you can prepare these gourmet-style dishes and cook at home just in time for Father’s Day 2020. Surprise yourself and your family with these dishes are guaranteed hearty and farm-to-table. Grab these DIY Meal Kits at the Malagos Homegrown Produce
