The Malagos Homegrown Produce Encourages Everyone to Stay Home, Still

Stay Home Stay Homegrown

The Malagos Homegrown has recently just started to bud. Like most small businesses out there, we are still finding our way through this pandemic. We budded at the time when hotels and resorts had to be shut down because of the lockdown safety and health protocols. With this order, the demand for chocolates, cheese, and going to resorts also plummeted down. With employees and local farmers in mind, we chose to keep afloat.

Since then, everyday, we try our best to get by. Recently, the Philippines has already reached the 100,000 positive coronavirus cases mark in the country. With this came the debate of most people: should we go back to an Enhanced Community Quarantine instead? Many have already expressed their voices and opinions on the matter and one of the recurring statements is: “we cannot go back to an Enhanced Community Quarantine because our economy is already collapsing. Many businesses are on the verge of dying.” There is no denying the truth of this matter. Most countries in the world are now struggling to contain the spread of coronavirus while as much as possible, avoiding the decline in economic activity. While this debate goes around in town, we, at the Malagos Homegrown Produce, believe that more than anything, it pays for you to be extra safe these days. With this, we are encouraging everyone to stay home as much as possible and lessen your chance of catching the virus.

Stay safe and careful. We have to be extra diligent when making sure we do not bring the virus with us. Especially now that the protocols are starting to loosen by the week. So start making a list of Davao’s best online grocery stores and prepare everything you need. From face shields, protective masks, alcohol, all the way to farm fresh produce to make sure you and your family are safe, you must know where to run to online.

Support the frontliners. Our medicine practitioners and the healthcare system are our core protection against the virus. They are the ones who face the virus head on in order to save our fellow Filipinos. These days, as much as it is important to save ourselves, it is also important to save them. Thus, we must do our part in this fight: boost your immune system, always disinfect and sanitize, and always practice social distancing.

Support each other. One of the concerns why most do not agree on the idea of reverting back to an Enhanced Community Quarantine is the economic recession it will entail. With this in mind, why not start a movement within yourself? Make sure to support local and buy local these days. The Malagos Homegrown Produce budded from our need to provide for our local farmers and we are not alone in this endeavor. So while you’re at it, make sure to choose proudly local, farm fresh products along the way. Let’s get through this the only way we all can--together.

Stay home, stay homegrown. Everything can now be done online. Paying bills, online grocery and delivery, even some jobs can now be done at home. It is important to work remotely these days. This will ensure not only your safety but that of your loved ones as well. While you’re at it, as what we have already mentioned, please do stay home and buy your needs online. Choose only local products in order to ensure the maximum nutrients and vitamins needed for the family to get by.

The Malagos Homegrown Produce has been with you every step of the way. We are expanding our services by the day in order to make sure you have all the homegrown hearty meals and produce you need at home. For today, do keep safe. Until we meet each other again!
